I used a small hand-held grinder to cut slots in the stone, where it needed to be removed. Then a ‘ten pound’ hammer and cold chisel to slowly carve away the stone and form a level surface. The final stage was using a small plate of steel to grind away the slight imperfections…

one of the corner blocks, close to completion… phil will deliver the blocks to site for the next stage of work – situating and levelling the blocks in preparation for installation of the steel floor frame and plywood flooring…
