first sandstone footings on site

12 june 2010 – frosty cold weather up at the land…

wallaby hill reflected

– the wetland catchment is a stunning wide mirror made of rainwater…

sandstone footings

phil dropped off four of the sandstone blocks during the week…

sandstone footings

spent an afternoon rolling, cajoling, heaving and dragging them into position at the corners of the hut site…

a lot of work yet to do to get the other 16 blocks up there, manoeuvre them into exact position and get them all level in preparation for the steel frame placement…

not many pics at this stage because both of my canon g9 camera’s have died – one just stopped working altogether, the other has developed a “lens error” from which it refuses to recover… they’ve been good cameras but I would have expected a little more than 18 months out of them… time for new model.
